Hopefully the Spring weather is not too far away and many of us will be looking forward to spending more time outdoors. We often get asked questions regarding the pruning of trees and our Councillors recently met with the Principal Tree Officer of East Riding of Yorkshire Council to discuss various tree related issues in Cottingham. Anyone wishing to check whether a property/land has protected trees or is in a Conservation Area can do this via the Council’s website Constraints Map link:

Anyone wishing to view applications, both determined and pending, can see them via the following link, also after submitting an application an acknowledgement is sent to the applicant/their agent along with an application number which will enable tracking the progress of an application on line via the Council’s Public Access system:
